ALLIANCE DESIGNER BOW LOM (*Synod Dicky Bow x Talomo Tiffany by Wye Windjammer) is a Section A mare foaled in September, 1992. She was bred by and purchased at 18 months from Mary Chisholm of Alliance Farm.  Bow was immediately put on the show string and was 1994 WPCSA Section A High Point Junior filly.  She then retired to broodmare duty and has only shown lightly since that time. 

Through five of her six foals, all fillies, Bow has accumulated 1904 points for her LOM. Three of these fillies contributed most of her points, primarily as Junior fillies and entirely in halter classes. 

Bow’s first filly foaled in 1997, SEVERN BUTTONS ‘N BOWS, was a star from the beginning.  Buttons was WPCSA 3rd place Section A filly in 1998 and Champion filly in 1999.  Sold in early 2000, Buttons was very lightly shown until 2003 when she was brought out again for a few shows to become WPCSA Reserve High point Champion Section A mare for owners Loren & Polly Johnson, Miracle Welsh of Phelps, Wisconsin. After having two prizewinning foals herself, Buttons has been broken to ride and was also shown in leadline once or twice this past year. Look for her in performance in the future.

Bow’s 2000 filly (SEVERN SILK ‘N SATIN), is her second leg and WPCSA Reserve Champion Junior Filly in 2001 and 2002.  This past year, as a three year old, Silk was Maryland Pony Breeders champion Section A mare, Eastern Welsh Circuit, 3rd place mare and WPCSA 4th place mare - Northeast Region.  Silk will join our broodmare band in 2004. 

SEVERN BAUBLES ‘N BEADS, Bow’s 2001 filly represents Bow’s third leg for her LOM. Bebe, as we call her, has been WPCSA High Point Champion Junior Filly both as a yearling and as a two year old.  

All three of Bow’s legs are by SEVERN WEST WIND. All of her fillies have been lovely with a 4th filly (Severn Ribbons ‘n Lace, owned by the Johnsons) also by West Wind and the last two fillies by LIANNA’S DAPPER DAN. They are Severn Diamonds ‘n Pearls, owned by Paula Jo Bright and Severn Ruffles ‘n Curls, now owned by Debbie Williams. Ruffles was shown at two shows as a foal and garnered 3 blue ribbons and one Jr. Ch. Filly to continue her mother’s legacy. 

All in all, Bow’s achievements through her fillies seem impressive for quite a young mare. Bow is in foal to Severn Merrymaker for 2004.  I guess she will have a colt sometime, but you never know.  Maybe filly number 7 is on the way!
