CADDO COPPER PENNY LOM (Dixie Chattahoochee x Dixie Supreme).   I would like to start with a thank you to Sandra Scott of Rain R Shine Welsh for making it possible for me to own three great mares (Dixie Sensation, Dixie Wendy, Dixie Supreme).  Dixie Supreme was in foal with Caddo Copper Penny LOM when I brought her home in Jan. 1997.  I remember the morning Copper Penny was born and the first time I saw her she was lying next to her mother.  She turned her head and looked over her back at me and I remember thinking how small and cute she was.  At the time I fell in love with her and the feeling hasn't changed.  To know Copper is to love her.  Her nickname is The Diva, she IS the Diva.  If you go to the barn she will greet you with both ears pinned back on her head.  Now some would think she was mean, not at all, that is this mare's smile.

If she doesn't do this then you better call the vet.  She is sick.  And there have been times we have had to do that when she didn't greet us in that way.  Our whole family has enjoyed this mare.  Copper has done everything from halter, driving, trail, western and English pleasure, showmanship, lead line, leading rein and stock seat eq. and English eq., not to mention the parades she has been in.  One year we had the privilege of driving Santa Claus in a local Christmas parade.  Copper really shined in 2005 with the help of two great riders and handlers Wendy and Chelsea Stephens who helped complete her LOM.  Thanks to my son Tyler who has worked hard to get us to the shows and to everyone who helped make her LOM possible.  It seems like it took the whole Central Region to get it!  We plan to breed her to our young Reserve Supreme stallion Caddo Texas Twister for her first foal.  Hopefully she will give us some good babies to show in the future.
