FARMORE PUBLICITY

1999 Sire Legion of Merit

Farmore Farms Welsh Ponies and Tammy Burgin proudly announce their first Legion of Merit Sire "FARMORE PUBLICITY". He was born in 1985 in Napa, California, and to date has sired 44 foals. Farmore Publicity is sired by the late Talybont Quicksilver, who is nearing his Sire Legion of Merit. Talybont Quicksilver was sired by the imported Sec B stallion *Bowdell Buccaneer. It was Farmore Publicity's dam, Welmore Grace, whose impressive qualities led Tammy to become involved in the Welsh breed in 1978 when she was 15 years old. Welmore Grace was not only a performance Champion, she also produced multiple halter futurity champions, and of course, Farmore Publicity.

Farmore Publicity is known around the barn as Merlyn, due to his ability to slip a halter or bridle and to open most gates around the ranch. He has a wonderful personality and nature about him. He is game to try anything from jumping to any kind of trail obstacle, to cattle penning, which he loves! In his mind, there is nothing he is not capable of doing. It makes training an animal such as this an adventure instead of a chore. Merlyn has been shown in halter and performance classes from 1988 up to 1998. He has won AHSA Zone awards, WPCSA National awards, WPCSA Regional awards and WPCAC Pacific Coast Hi-Point awards in many divisions. He has 1411 points towards his Individual Legion of Merit.

"However, we are most proud of his ability to sire such successful children's ponies as: Royal Crest Excaliber (Farmore Publicity x Willow Tree Playdough) shown by the Kirtland family, Goldhills All Shook Up (Farmore Publicity x Charjo's Gypsy) shown by Laura Bannon, full sister Goldhills Diamond 'Lil (Farmore Publicity x Charjo's Gypsy) shown by Jackie Hubert Verkuyl/Jessie Lemieux, and the infamous KGF Girl Friday (Farmore Publicity x Carousel's Shining Rhosyn) who is so widely known in the winner's circle on the West Coast. Girl Friday is quickly nearing her Individual Legion of Merit for the Amboss family. And last, but not least, is the youngest member of this winning team, Farmore Spellbound owned and shown by Farmore Farms/Tammy Burgin. Spellbound had been shown so successfully as a foal that we didn't think it would be too hard to finish his points for Merlyn's Legion of Merit. Fortunately, Spellbound is just as game as his sire to attempt any new challenge placed before him. Spellbound, along with his siblings who have a total of 5370 points, proved to us what Farmore Publicity is all about, a sire with heart, drive, and a will to please no matter what the circumstances. We are truly blessed with such wonderful Welsh!"

Farmore Publicity currently stands at stud at Farmore Farms Welsh Ponies, Galt, California.
