b-39634 FARMORE ENCHANTING LOM

(Talybont Quicksilver X Shamrock Silver Hawk)

Tammy Burgin writes of Farmore Enchanting LOM ... Ariel as she is known around the barn, is a 1998 Section B Welsh mare foaled at Farmore Farms Welsh in Galt, CA.  She was part of the last foal crop sired by Talybont Quicksilver, who received his Sire LOM in 2001.  Her dam, Shamrock Silverhawk, is nearing her Dam LOM as well.

Ariel has produced three foals all sired by *Telynau Royal Charter.  Her first foal, Farmore Royal Success, was purchased in utero and later bought back by Farmore Farms as a two year old. He was shown to many wins and Supreme Championships in halter as a 2 year old.  His temperament was so quiet he even pinch hitted a few leadline and walk trot classes for kids without ponies. Ariel’s second foal by Charter was also purchased in utero, this time by Diane Sommers of Toile’ Farm. She named him Farmore Royal Charmer.

He was shown on a limited basis for points in halter, English Pleasure and ridden pony in 2007 to complete the requirements (3 legs) for his dam.  Farmore Imagination is the youngest and third foal out of Ariel but has had the most successful show career with multiple wins in hand including the 2006 American National Champion Filly and Youngstock Champion as well as Reserve Grand Champion Sec B competing in Tulsa, OK. She did the same at the Western National Welsh show in California the same year. She accumulated over 800 points in halter in two years, only competing at 5 locations in 2007 to complete the 1500 points her dam required to reach her Dam LOM award.

Ariel has certainly made her mark in the show ring with her first three foals.   But now she will go one step further. Ariel is currently putting a brand new breeder on the map in the Welsh world, Denise Sexton of Designer Ponies now owns this wonderful mare. Ariel’s 2008 foal by *Telynau Royal Charter has once again been sold in utero and will be shown in the future adding yet more accolades to Ariel’s list of accomplishments. Denise and her girls plan to put Ariel back in the show ring once her foal is weaned and I am sure to even greater successes. Keep an eye out for Farmore Enchanting and her "kids." Gail Thomson writes...Gayfields Elixer, Sec. B, is by Pendock Masterpiece and out of the *Sleight of Hand daughter, Gayfields Love Potion No. Nine. She has three LOM’s, one AOE and four Order of the Dragon awards in her pedigree. However, it is her own foals that have won this Dam LOM for her. Elixer was bred and foaled in 1992 at Gayfields and will always be owned by Gayfields. Gayfields Elixer has produced seven foals after a successful show career in the junior breeding classes. Winning this award for her was accomplished by two of her four daughters by Rollingwoods Easy As L: Gayfields Miss Lydia Pinkham and Gayfields L O Dolly and the final leg was contributed by Gayfields Dubbel Dose by Dubbel LL’s Swifty. Of Elixer’s seven foals the only colt disappeared into the hunter world, two fillies fled to Idaho and the other four are still at Gayfields. Three of them will be out in the show ring again in 2008 serving as mounts for the Gayfields granddaughters and their mother.  Elixer has a greatly valued habit in addition to her preponderance of fillies! She is a great "milker" and feeds every foal in the pasture whose own dam will allow it. It is not unusual to see her with two foals nursing at once while her own looks on and waits her turn. For this trait alone she would have earned a permanent place in our broodmare band. She is in foal to Gayfields Eurotrash for 2008.
