B-40532 flying Diamond the bailef LOM/AOE
(Gayfields Court Scandal LOM x Rambur Reflection)

flying Diamond the bailef LOM/AOE (Gayfields Court Scandal LOM x Rambur Reflection) was bred by Larry and Tracy Henderson in Missouri. At four and a half, Bailef was purchased from Ranae Smith and moved to Texas to begin his life and riding career at the Lazy J Welsh Pony Ranch with Janice Early.
2007 was a great year for Wendy Stephens and The Bailef as they amazed RFD television viewers by being the first pony and rider to compete in Extreme Cowboy Races and went on to be Reserve National Champions of the Extreme Cowboy Race of Champions held in Kansas City, MO. While Bailef and Wendy did well against full sized horses in the Extreme Cowboy Races, they also managed to accrue many honors in the Welsh world with a National Championship for AB Adult Hunter and Stock Seat Equitation. The duo were Reserve National Champions in Western Pleasure and Ridden Welsh. Twice Bailef was Reserve National Champion in Jr. Trail with many different riders aboard.
In 2008, Bailef returned to the ring with his senior citizen owner showing his versatility. Wendy, also, showed him in the Hunter division, Ridden Welsh, and Adult Trail. Bailef achieved his Legion of Merit when named Supreme Champion at the OKWPS summer show. As he completed his Award of Excellence, Bailef was named Supreme Champion in Tyler, TX. The Central National Welsh judge named Bailef Senior Champion Section B Stallion. 2008 ended with Bailef earning four WPCSA Reserve National High Point titles and USEF Champion Zone 7 Champion Adult Welsh Hunter and Adult Welsh Pony.
Wendy and The Bailef qualified in 2008 for their second trip to the National Finals of the Extreme Cowboy Race of Champions in Kansas City. Again, they were among the top finalists. The two have never failed to be champions in smaller Cowboy Race Challenges.
While Bailef is eager to compete, he has his own junior fans. He has been used for leadline and pet pony obstacle by a five year old. One of our favorite quotes comes from Sally Ross Davis upon walking in the wash rack and seeing four kids from ages five to thirteen scrubbing on Bailef. “How many kids does it take to bathe that ‘bad’ stallion?” Bailef is always willing to give pony rides and delights in attention. Erika Anderson successfully used him for showmanship.
Bailef’s oldest son, NR Sir Lancelot, has been busy with his junior rider, Chandler Pearson. The two are the Central National Short Stirrup Champions and won two other short stirrup championships while finishing second in Zone 7 Welsh pleasure. Bailef’s daughter, Lazy J Desert Rose, was Reserve Supreme at the Red River Welsh Pony Show and has never placed lower than second in halter. Bailef is passing on his kind and gentle nature with a strong work ethic to his offspring. The work ethic will carry Bailef into other avenues in 2009. Thank you for the help and encouragement of many people in the Welsh world and especially Wendy Stephens who made this dream come true.
