GAYFIELDS FFLWRDLIS

1998 Dam Legion of Merit

GAYFIELDS FFLWRDLIS (Dixie Affirmed x Eden's Geranium), a black roan mare, now 17 and pregnant, had a limited show career, being shown just twice.  She was Supreme Champion of a Gulf Coast (Houston) Show as a three year old and ended her career as Grand Champion Section A pony at the 1997 American National Welsh Show at age 15. 

 Fflwrdlis has produced ten foals, seven of whom contributed to her Dam Legion of Merit.  Making up her three "legs" were three full sisters by Legion of Merit winner *Sleight of Hand: Gayfields Ffast‑Lane Ffergie (1033 points) and Gayfields Ffanffare (808 points) won most of their points while being shown in Pleasure Driving by Sue and Ron Schwartz.  Ffergie is deceased and Ffanffare now belongs to Rick Graham. The third and final leg was won by Gayfields Miss Ffirecracker (383 points), owned and shown by Tina Martin, she has been Champion A mare at several east coast shows.  Fflwrdlis, a granddaughter of both *Coed Coch Prydydd and *Coed Coch Serenllys,  passes on the beautiful movement and lovely temperament which are inherent in this breeding.  Her grand‑dams were Farnley Columbine, a mainstay at Garden of Eden and Open Gates Violet, a daughter of Legion of Merit winner GlanNant Tango.
