Wendy Petersen writes of GAYFIELDS GLORY HALLELUJAH LOM (*Sleight of Hand x Gayfields Old Glory) ... Glory came to us as a coal black weanling, turning to a beautiful dapple gray as a youngster.  He held on to those dapples for a very long time, creating a beautiful picture both in hand and in harness.

Glory was the type of pony that we all dream of owning.  From the beginning Glory was an easy pony to have around and his disposition was what made him such a delight to be around.  He was a very quick learner and worked very hard at trying to do what you asked of him.  These qualities along with the long legs, big motor behind and movement were the qualities he passed on to his children.

His offspring have traveled mostly to the world of the pony hunters from coast to coast and they are carrying children of all ages.  The greatest thrill with Glory was winning his driving class at the Royal Winter Fair and during his victory lap, the orchestra started playing Glory Glory Hallelujah  . . .  a moment that will be treasured in our memories for a lifetime.

Glory’s accomplishments in the show ring are well known.  He knew what his job was when he was in the ring and was a joy to watch as he performed.  He was the first Section B stallion to earn an Individual Legion of Merit.  Glory loved to be in the show ring and clearly enjoyed doing his job.  Losing Glory at such a young age was a heartbreaking experience.  We are proud to have owned this wonderful pony and are fortunate enough to still have some Glory children which we look forward to bringing out to the Welsh Pony world.

His offspring shown on the Welsh Pony circuit that have earned him his Sire Legion of Merit are Telgay Breezes Gale, Misty Morn’s Viva Las Vegas, Misty Morn’s Metallic Miss, Misty Morn’s Struttin’ My Stuff and Misty Morn’s She’s Gone Country.  Gale and Country are still at home and the other three went off to homes with children.
