Armstrong writes ... Glynhafan Red Hawk
LOM/AOE (GlanNant Cadence x Snow Pony Chickadee) was foaled on 1990. As a
two year old, he got in with the mares one day for a couple of hours, and he got
two mares in foal. One mare, Tangwyllt Calypso by GlanNant Cadence,
produced Glynhafan Elara, who has been a consistent performer for years in
pleasure, short stirrup and hunter classes, giving Hawk one leg of his LOM.
Hawk continued to sire foals as he also was trained and started his show career.
He was shown in halter, English pleasure, Western pleasure, hunter and
occasionally pleasure driving; winning many regional and some national awards.
Two of his foals out of Tangwwllt Lady Persuasion by Pendock Sir Percy had
outstanding careers in the show ring. These two ponies were Glynhafan Rob
Roy (LOM) and Glynhafan Prince Charming. Rob earned enough points for his
LOM in 2001, capably shown by Torie Gordon. The other two ponies
contributing to Hawk’s LOM were out of Glyncadno Tiarella by Baledon Nobleman.
They were Glynhafan Cinderella and Glynhafan Winston Select. Hawk has
consistently produced foals with wonderful dispositions, very easy to train and
that will do whatever you ask. Cinderella, owned and shown by Lisa Dunston,
did well in pleasure and hunter classes. Winston has been shown in English
pleasure, Western pleasure and adult hunters by various riders from my farm.
