LISETER CADET
2001 Sire Legion of Merit
LISETER CADET (Liseter Carnelian x Liseter Debutante) is owned by Guy and Helen Clardy of Clarwood Farm in Pennsylvania. They saw Cadet as a foal and immediately fell in love with him, however Mrs. duPont would not part with him. Finally after a year of pleading, she sold the Sec. A colt to the Clardys.
Cadet has been successfully shown in-hand since he was a yearling and retired a few years ago. During his long career he won both National and Regional awards, and the Clardys are proud to announce he has earned his Legion of Merit.
Cadet has produced some outstanding ponies in his time including half-Welsh "Am I Blue" who has competed on the Florida Circuit and has won many AHSA Medium Pony Hunter Awards.
His famous offspring that made his LOM possible are: Clarwoods McHalea who won the National Award in 1997 for Sec. A Mare; Christie's Bugle Boy who was 1995 AHSA Grand Champion Welsh Pony; Christie's Desert Storm who won his Individual LOM award in 1999; Chris-tay's Tin Man who was 2001 Res. Champ 3 and over Sec. A Gelding; Clarwoods Cavalier who was also Res. Champ 1998 Sec. A Gelding.
Although Cadet was never broke to ride or drive, he passed on his talent to his offspring who have succeeded well in all aspects of performance under saddle, over fences, and driving.
The Clardys comment, "We know Cadet will continue to produce such wonderful offspring and give more children the opportunity to love the Welsh Pony".
