*Okeden Honeysuckle lom/aoe was imported by the Windcrest Stud as a foal, after winning fourth at the Royal Welsh show.  Honeysuckle produced the filly Windcrest Chloe, and then 3 colts in a row – Windcrest Dakkar, Windcrest Desert Storm, and Windcrest Devin.  Each of these colts has gone on as a herd sire for their owners.  Honeysuckle has not produced a colt since!  From 1996 to 2004 Honeysuckle produced 8 fillies.  The last five of these fillies all sired by *Okeden Taffy LOM, have created quite a legacy.  Goldhills Bit-O-Honey, the first of this golden cross was shown as a yearling ending the year Reserve National Champion, just two points behind the winner.  Bit-O-Honey is now showing successfully under saddle and in hand with her new owners.

Each of the next four fillies, Goldhills Hanky Panky, Goldhills Hot Fudge, Goldhills High Tea and Goldhills Hot Mocha, won the National Champion D Filly in their two-year-old year – Hanky Panky also won as a yearling.   Hanky Panky completed her Individual Legion of Merit before she reached her fourth birthday and went on to her Award of Excellence at age 6.  High Tea exceeded her older sisters in the speed she earned her first 300 points, reaching the mark in just over a year, and has gone on to have a successful performance career.  Hot Mocha is an example of saving the best for the last, winning 11 Supreme Championships in 2008, along with the National Champion D Mare, and Reserve National Champion C/D Pleasure Driving.  Honeysuckle’s offspring shined in 2008 with Hot Mocha being named Supreme Champion at the Western National and National Champion D Mare.  Desert Storm was named Supreme Champion at the American National and National Champion D Stallion!
