Tiz Benedict writes of SEVERN PANSI LOM (Severn West Wind LOM x Severn Heather by Ripple’s Conqueror) ... A Section A mare foaled in 1985, Pansi is our last producing granddaughter of *Coed Coch Pansi (Coed Coch Glyndwr x Tan-y-Bwlch Prancio) imported in 1948 to Severn Oaks by Mrs. Iliff. Shown as a young pony, Pansi did not like the trailer and was retired to the farm where she has lived her entire life. She has had a total of 11 foals, several of which have contributed to her Legion of Merit. Pansi’s first leg, Severn Jasmine by Talomo Cricket LOM, has been a performance star for Eda Bell and her children, winning WPCSA and USEF awards in hunter, pleasure and leading rein. Pansi’s second leg, Severn Periwinkle by *Twyford Cadog, has herself produced several winning foals including Severn Fire Thorn, WPCSA reserve high point colt in 2006 and Severn Orange Blossom, WPCSA reserve high point filly in 2007. Severn Bluebell, Pansi’s third leg by Lianna’s Dapper Dan, finished the 300 points for her mother as a two year old. Pansi is now 23 (2008) and may or may not have retired herself as a broodmare. She is a quirky pony who amuses us whenever we want to do something for her.
