2005 SIRE ORDER OF THE DRAGON
*SLEIGHT OF HAND OD
(Mylncroft Spun Gold x Coed Coch Olwen)
Gail E. Thomson - Owner

The Sire Order of the Dragon is awarded to the pony or cob stallions whose progeny accumulate a total of 25,000 points or who have three progeny win Award of Excellence recognition. With over 66,000 points, Sleight of Hand has previously received the Sire Order of the Dragon twice. Tonight he is being recognized with another Order of the Dragon won for him by three fillies he sired that have won AOE’s.
Gail and I wish to thank Gayfields Bonnie Bach, bred at Gayfields and owned from the time she was born by Miriam Gerdes. Miriam and her students and friends exhibited Bonnie Bach to her Individual Award of Excellence. Bonnie Bach has been shown in just about all ridden divisions by adult, junior and VERY junior riders.
We also appreciate the contributions made by Sally Steinmetz whose Rosehaven Tulip finished her Individual Award of Excellence this year. Out of Farnley Tenby, Tulip was, according to all available sources, the very first Welsh pony or cob in the world produced using both artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Sally and her friends, including Jr. rider Taylor Cox, won Tulips AOE points in various ridden and in-hand classes.
The third leg of Sleight’s award was won by Rollingwoods Lorna Doone, who achieved her Award of Excellence this year and will be awarded it tonight. Lorna is a Rollingwoods pony, born and bred, and we are grateful to the Wilburn sisters for helping Sleight win this honor.
