    SMOKE TREE GOLD DREAM (*Smoke Tree Spun Gold x *Brookhall Daydream) owned and loved by Jim and Teresa Lemon was foaled in 1991. With an absolutely gorgeous sire and an elegant and beautiful dam there was no question from the beginning that this filly was going to live up to her name. "Dream", as she is known to all has truly been a dream come true for the Lemon family.

    "Dream" has traveled with them to every show since they began showing Welsh ponies. She started her show career in halter at the age of 2 and was started under saddle at age 5. At that time available trainers able (or willing) to work with ponies in their area were far and few between, and their non-interested teenage girls had zero interest in riding. They were lucky to finally find a couple of trainers fairly close who were more than willing to help. "Dream" was literally ridden only a handful of times each year by the trainers before going into the show season.

    "We were also very fortunate to be able to 'adopt' many talented young riders from all over the country to show her for us in the performance classes. Needless to say, right from the beginning she had to learn to adjust to her many riders while being ridden both in English & Western classes. Sometimes she would come out of a class with a junior rider and go right back in with an adult rider. "We have also enjoyed the many other classes she has participated in such as leadline, leading rein, pet obstacle, showmanship, and of course costume classes!

    "Until recently we were only able to attend two or three shows a year so the majority of "Dream" total 1562 points were earned during the last three years. "Dream's" points are closely split, 848 halter / 714 performance, and reflect her versatility. She has won many championships in both performance and halter including several Supreme and Reserve Supreme championships. Dream was National High Point Sec. B mare in 1997, Reserve National High Point Sec. B mare in 1998, and  National High Point Western Pleasure in 1999.

    Now that Jim and Teresa have met their goal of obtaining her LOM they are ready to move on to the next stage. They look forward to her many future "Dreams" for Lemontree! But, it wouldn't be the same showing without her nor does it make sense to leave such a lovely mare at home. So, she will continue to be shown in broodmare classes.

    The Lemons consider themselves very lucky to have a pony such as "Dream" with her beauty, outstanding movement, great temperament and bloodlines. "She IS everything we dreamed of owning! Thank You, Kathy, for allowing us to have her."
