H6476 WELL DONE AOH

(*Alra Blue Radiance LOM/AOE/AOH x Stop Waj)

Jordan Banghart writes ... WELL DONE AOH, aka Blue Jay, was foaled in 1998, and is sired by Alra Blue Radiance and out of a thoroughbred mare named Stop Waj.  Jay was bred by Ginger Petrie.

We have known Blue Jay from the moment he was born, as I took lessons from Ginger.  Even as a youngster Blue Jay was the most elegant pony we had ever seen.  He was bought to be my Large Hunter Pony, but he proved to be a tad to much for an eight year old to handle at a show.  Jay has taught me many things, like to be the rider I am today.  I now can soar like an eagle and always land on my feet…..literally.  I believe we are so much alike and that just adds to the fun we have together.

We had just started showing Welsh and we had no experience showing in hand.  Everyone was so helpful.  At that time I had become very close to Ron and Sue Schwartz.  I can not thank them enough for the help they gave me.  Ronnie always helped me get Blue Jay into tip-top shape to go in the ring.

I took it very hard when Ronnie passed away.  But I know all I have to do is close my eyes, for just a second and I can see him sitting in his golf cart at the end of the ring, smiling and nodding his head.  So I know he is still watching me and giving me the best of luck wishes.

Next year Blue Jay will fulfill his destiny and become a Large Hunter Pony after all.  Thank you to all that helped us along the way of training Blue Jay.  He truly is a one of a kind and we all love him dearly for that.
